THE TALENT SHOW

Not a single act has yet graced (or defiled) the Canyon Wren Hall stage, and The Talent Show is already the most talked-about aspect of our wedding weekend. Here’s some information to get you even more excited and/or put your mind at ease.

1. PARTICIPATION IS OPTIONAL. No, we are not requiring or expecting everyone to perform in the show. If that were the case, the show would last ten hours. You are perfectly welcome to enjoy the show as an enthusiastic audience member. There will be some seating up front and standing room at the back, plus an open bar to keep you occupied between acts.

2. TIMING IS EVERYTHING. It would be good, perhaps even essential, if you could keep your performance to around three minutes or less. We’ve got a lot of talent to get through, and we still want to have a dance party after the show.

3. LIGHTS, CAMERAS, YES! The show will be filmed and recorded, but we can keep your act private if you’d prefer.

4. THE HOST WITH THE MOST. Our dear friend Greg Bennick has agreed to be our ringleader/MC/organizer of the show. In addition to hosting, he’ll be in charge of scheduling your act. Please submit your act to him by July 15. (greg@keithandcorianton.com). Please provide him with as much information as possible; don’t worry, he’s keeping it all a surprise from us.

5. THE PEOPLE WITH THE POWER. Our dear friends Liz Riley and Sean Tollefson will be stage managing the talent show. They have plenty of experience wrangling drunk creative types. Got a question/request about power, amplification, stage size, set order, etc.? Reach out to them. They'll be working closely with Greg to make sure everything is in sync. Hit up Liz at liz@keithandcorianton.com

6. SHORT & SWEET. We’re trying to keep this show around two hours, so if your great idea for an act involves twenty minutes of set-up, please consider scaling it down a bit. We’ll use our imagination, and you'll have more time at the bar.

7. DON'T SWEAT IT. The bar is low. Really low.

HERE WE GO TUBING NOW, HERE WE GO!!

On Sunday after breakfast, we invite you to join us on a fun and leisurely tube float down the Icicle River, with a BBQ lunch included!

A shuttle will pick us up at Sleeping Lady at 11 am and return us to the resort by 4pm. You’ll need to be checked out of your room before leaving on the tubing trip, unless you’re staying Sunday night as some of us are.

HERE’S THE RUNDOWN FROM
OSPREY OUTFITTERS:

Whitewater fun: Your tubing adventure starts just outside of Leavenworth on Class II rapids. Catch the eddy (upstream current) and cycle the rapids a second time. The next section continues with beautiful scenery, beaches and more class II rapids. The second half of the trip is a more leisurely section which allows maximum relaxation. Another option for the trip is the Inflatable Kayaks (single or double kayaks). The kayaks come with a paddle and provide more stability through the rapids.

Barbeque: The tubing/kayak float finishes with a BBQ at Osprey’s own Happy Wave Beach Club. Happy Wave is a beautiful park-like setting right on the river. It is a perfect place to end your float. A large pavilion houses our famous BBQ  “Build a Burger” station, which includes tasty 1/3 lb. sirloin patties, grilled onions and mushrooms, bacon bits, choice of cheeses, and all the trimmings, not to mention chips and salsa, and local seasonal cherries. Then show off your skills roasting golden Marshmallow S’mores for dessert over an open campfire! A black bean-chipotle burger is available by request for our vegetarian guests.

Photos: watch your glory shots from the whitewater section on a slideshow, while you chow down on BBQ Sirloin Burgers.
